Information
In the manufacture of rings, Aerotech Peißenberg has been setting standards and using almost the entire spectrum of machining for years. Maximum precision is both a challenge and a general prerequisite here.
Area of use
Ring-like structures can be found throughout the engine. They are also characterized by high resilience and absolute reliability: Engines are becoming more and more efficient, which means more critical temperatures, more complex geometries and higher pressures. As every increase in efficiency of the engine also means greater stress on the components, this also applies to materials and manufacturing processes.
Manufacturing
Rings can be manufactured by ATP in a wide variety of designs. In addition to the conventional cutting processes – turning, milling, grinding – special processes such as coating and wire EDM are also used. Several machining processes can be combined in one machine, which ensures better (cost) efficiency.
